HP Prime and TI-84 Plus CE: Trapezoidal Rule

HP Prime and TI-84 Plus CE:  Trapezoidal Rule

Caption:  The Trapeziodal Rule applied on ∫ X^2*e^X dx from X = 1 to 4
Actual value:  543.2632185

The program TRAPRULE approximates the integral of f(X)

∫ f(X) dX = h/2 * ( f(a) + 2*Σf(x_I) + f(b) )

Where:
a = the lower limit
b = the upper limit
n = the number of intervals
h = (b – a)/n
x_I = a + h*I where I is from 1 to n-1
